Held in conjunction with the Annual Main Street Fest & Car Show

Saturday, August 20th, 2011 

12:30pm - Registration Begins

(Pre-registration is suggested)

1:30 - Judging

 Memorial Park at N. end of Prospect St. (across from Heritage Park)

Entry Fee is $5.00 per every 2 categories

You may enter as many categories as you would like.

To register for the event you can register the day of the event at 12:30 or you can pre-register by picking up a registration form at the Cambridge Main Street office.

 

We have so much fun with this event and love to see the dogs and the creativity!

Each Year we change some of the categories to give a variety and to make sure we offer something for everyone!

2011 Categories Are:

*Best Sports FanDogs and handlers must be dressed and ready to support their favorite sports team.

*Best Celebrity Look AlikeIf your dog looks like a famous pooch or a human celebrity this is the perfect category!

*Most Glamorous with "Bling"Dogs should wear shiny colors and lots of "dog jewelry" such as tags.

*Most Obedient– A chance to show off how well your dog listens to your commands.

*A Salute to Red, White and BlueThis is the dog that can dress the best in red, white, and blue to honor America.

*Best Mirror Image - A class to judge which handler looks most like their canine companion.

*Most Creative Pet Trick - Show off your dog's talent with one of their many tricks!

*Swim Suit Attire —Dogs will be judged on overall look, fit and design of suit.

*Smallest Dog— Dogs will be judged on size.

*Most Creative Costume — Show off your pooch's fashion sense.

*Longest Dog—Dogs judged on length.

*Main Street Favorite—The first place winners from the above categories will  be invited back to compete for the title of Main Street Favorite!

                                                                             Rules for the Show:

  

  1. All dogs must be kept leashed at all times
  2. All dogs must be well mannered and suitable to be with other dogs and participants
  3. All dogs must have current vaccinations and be in good health
  4. No dog may be left unattended at any time
  5. Participants must maintain full control of their dogs at all times.
  6. Participants must clean up all of their dog’s solid waste
  7. Participants are responsible for food and water during the event
  8. Participants/dogs which, in sole judgment of event staff, are in violation of these rules will be required to withdraw from the event
  9. Participants must obey all posted signs and instructions from the event staff and volunteers

 

 

Participants are liable for any damages or injuries sustained as a result of or due fully or in part to the actions of participants.

 

 

A panel of judges will choose a winner in each category plus an over all winner.
