Important Information for all Groups, Organization and Individuals Participating in the Annual Fest and Car Show

Due to the growth of Main Street's Annual Fest and Car Show Main Street has implemented new guidelines for all participants (non car entries) of the Main Street Fest and Car Show as of the 2010 Fest and Car Show.  In order for this day to run efficiently and for everyone to recieve the same information, advertising and for the Main Street office to stay informed of all events and activities we are now requiring that each group, organization or individual receive a copy of the Event Guidelines.

To obtain a copy of the guidelines you may attend the meeting below or call the Main Street office at 937-2633.  In order to avoid duplicity of events or food sales, Main Street is offering approval on a first come, first serve basis.  In order for your event or food to be considered approved your signed acknowledgement of the guideline as well as the fee if applicable needs to be received by the Main Street office as well as a returned letter from the Main Street office acknowledging your event was approved.

Cambridge Main Street will be hosting a meeting for all groups, organizations, and individuals wishing to participate in the  Annual Main Street Fest and Car Show on Wednesday, May 5th,  at 4:30pm at the Main Street Office (132 W Center St – across from Stenzels Auction Hall).  This meeting is an opportunity for everyone to ask questions, sign up for their event or food booth, to hear what else is happening that day and to receive any other information we have at this time.

Main Street wants this day to be a profitable day for those who are using it as a fund-raising opportunity.  In order to do that, we feel that variety and making sure that there are no duplicate events is very important. Please come to the meeting with several ideas in the event that your first idea may already be taken.  Another reminder, while food is a good money maker, there are other ways to make money too.  If you want to host an event feel free to sign up to do that as well at the meeting. If you want to put on a talent show, kids games, face painting, dream catcher making, colored sand bottle making booth, sell balloons, dunk tank, do a deal or no deal game, put on your own “Fear Factor” challenge, eating contest, etc.. the options are unlimited, you can do so, just bring your idea to the meeting and sign up for it so someone else doesn’t take your idea first.

We look forward to working with you and helping you and your group have a profitable, fun filled day!
